About Hughie's

It takes a special kind of person to build a clothing brand during the last months of his life. This is Hughie. He was the very best of men.

A father, husband and best friend to so many; he was an incredible sportsman, marathon runner, off-piste skier, inventor of the flip flop game and all round total legend. 

In May 2020 Hughie was diagnosed with a rare form of osteosarcoma in his left hip. Over the next two years he battled through unbearable pain and intrusive medical procedures - bone biopsies, a hip replacement, numerous rounds of chemo and a pelvic resection. Each time the cancer returned Hughie bounced back braver and with a fighting spirit.

But the cancer was aggressive, doubling in size everyday, and it spread uncontrollably to his lungs and spine. On 10th April 2022, Hughie took his last breath in front of The Masters with his wife, one of his brothers, and a best friend. Today, there is a big Hughie-shaped hole in many peoples’ lives, but his legacy lives on in us all. 

Whilst fighting this terrible disease, Hughie lost his hair and needed a new wardrobe to give him the confidence and ability to cope with his new limited mobility. He struggled to find comfortable, affordable and stylish clothing fit for purpose. That’s why, in 2022 he founded Hughie’s - a lifestyle clothing brand for the brave.

Hughie's offers a range of clothes and accessories for all ages - caps, sweatshirts, t-shirts and more to come. Celebrating all that he represents, Hughie's drives vital awareness and funds for the charities which have contributed so much to help Hughie and his family.
